IPM has operated to consistent personnel and documentation standards since 2012. What follows is what that means in practice.
"IPM has operated to the same personnel and documentation standards since 2012. Every guard deployed carries verified service records, earned qualifications, and a vetting process conducted against the issuing authority. That is what the standard looks like."
Our Approach
IPM's operational standards operate across three areas. Each is documented. Each is verifiable. The detail is available to clients and partners on request.
01
Every guard is sourced from India's and Nepal's military and law enforcement communities. The criteria are fixed: minimum service thresholds, operational experience, honourable discharge, and a vetting process verified directly against the issuing military authority.
02
From medical clearance and certification to weapon handling assessments and Rules of Use of Force sign-off — every guard completes a structured preparation sequence before deployment. The sequence is the same regardless of notice period.
03
Each deployment is accompanied by a complete documentation pack. The paper trail exists because the operational discipline exists first.
Personnel Credentials
These are the baseline from which every IPM deployment begins. Every item on this list is verified before a guard boards.
Recruitment & Vetting
IPM's recruitment and vetting regime has been developed and refined over 13 years of operational deployment. It is thorough, multi-stage, and documented at every step.
That process has produced a personnel pool with zero weapon incidents across more than 10,000 transits.
The full documentation — recruitment criteria, vetting sequence, document register, and deployment protocols — is available on request.
Request a BriefingRegulatory Alignment
IPM's operations are aligned with the principal international frameworks governing armed maritime security. Every framework listed below reflects active operational alignment.
All IPM personnel comply with Directorate General of Shipping requirements — medical, training, and certification. Compliant since establishment in 2012.
Operational procedures are aligned with Best Management Practices for Maritime Security. Guards are briefed on BMP-MS prior to each transit deployment.
IPM operates in full alignment with ISO 28007 requirements. IPM's leadership has previously completed formal certification through Regis Maritime Security.
